Meet Dr. Hess

As the new owner of Cactus Horizon Dentistry, Dr. Hess is excited to continue the tradition of exceptional care while bringing his own friendly, patient-first approach to the Phoenix community. After losing a tooth in high school and undergoing corrective jaw surgery, Dr. Hess's path to dentistry became a passion.

He served in the U.S. Navy for five years, completing an AEGD residency before pursuing advanced implant training through the AAID Maxicourse. He’s known not only for his clinical skill but also for his outgoing personality and patient-first philosophy.

I would like to thank Dr. Michael Hess. When I had my last exam, Dr. Hess checked my neck and said that my thyroid felt hard and he could feel a swollen lymph node. I made an appointment with my family doctor and although she could not feel anything she sent me to get a thyroid ultrasound just in case. It turned out that I have 2 thyroid nodules. I had a fine needle biopsy a few weeks ago that unfortunately did not have enough cells to test so I'll be repeating that in a week. I am just so grateful that Dr. Hess took the time to examine my neck and was so thorough, as I did not feel anything and I would not have known about the nodules. Thank you Dr. Hess and the wonderful staff.
